CHARACTER PROFILE: Rush

Rush was a boy who seemed ordinary, just like many others. However, deep inside, there was a fire he couldn’t extinguish, a burning desire for freedom and justice.

Growing up in a world where oppression and lack of rights were the norm, Rush felt the weight of a life without dreams or hope every single day. He couldn’t bear the submission that others accepted without question.

From a young age, he was different: while others bowed to authority, he rebelled, unable to see the state of things as just. But this attitude came at a high cost.

Over the years, he endured severe punishments: brutal beatings and repeated imprisonment became a part of his life. No one seemed to appreciate his indomitable spirit.

On one side, the rulers saw him as a constant threat, while on the other, his peers hated him for dragging them into trouble, fearing his rebellion would put everyone in danger.

His life took an even darker turn when he became a personal slave to the king. Yet, despite being a slave, the king treated him with a certain regard, perhaps fascinated by the rebellious spirit that set him apart from the others.

Even in those years, Rush never bowed. Every day was a battle to keep his integrity, to avoid being crushed. Alone and oppressed, his suffering grew, but his will remained unbroken.

A fortunate event (which we’ll discuss later) allowed him to escape, and since then, he has lived in the “Twilight Forest,” where he trained and struggled to survive.

With time, though, Rush began to lose sight of his past, almost forgetting who he was and what his goals were.

The isolation led him to become estranged from himself, wondering if there was even a reason to keep fighting.

Yet, despite everything, the fire inside him never truly went out. Perhaps, it hasn’t even burned at its full potential yet.
